This actually worked, BUT it insists on popping CD 1 in even when I have it mounted. I ran "Xephyr -ac -display 640x480x16 :1" and then (after installing twm) "DISPLAY=:1.0 twm &", then "DISPLAY=:1.0 wine Obsidian.exe". (winetricks said for quicktime 7 that it shows a black window unless GDI is selected, so I found the same option in Quicktime 2 that Obsidian installs and selected GDI.) I ran obsidian and it said it needed 16-bit color. I ran "wine control.exe" and went to the quicktime settings, in one of the tabs there's an option to set (slow) GDI. I let it install quicktime and that succeeded too. I did try winetricks to install a much newer Quicktime, but it does want it's version.
